How to Apply to the UCSD Clinical Research Scholar Fellowship

Prerequisites

Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible emergency physicians. We will accept physicians who have completed a four year residency in Emergency Medicine or those who have completed a three year residency program and have at least one year of post-graduate experience. Applicants from three year residencies can apply, but will have modified clinical activities during the first year of the fellowship. If interested in the CREST program or MPH, candidates must be accepted separately. Acceptance into one of these programs is expected for a more complete and robust fellowship experience, though not required for acceptance into the UCSD clinical research scholar program.

Applications will be accepted starting in summer and interviews will be scheduled as soon as all of the application materials are received. Interviews will be offered after all of the application materials are received.

The program begins accepting applications on July 1 for the following academic year (i.e. July 1, 2020 for AY 2021-2022).
